Individual therapy begins with a safe, open space held for each client to share in a secure way. Any thought or expression is welcome. The goal is to create a comfortable space to sometimes feel uncomfortable. Support, feedback, and discussion is framed in a compassionate, humanistic way.
Brainspotting is a technique used to help clients access and process trauma and negative emotions. During Brainspotting, clients position their eyes in a way that helps them target the source of negative emotion. Processing then continues with attention paid to the body and emotions, done with gentle, focused mindfulness.
